Another one, but this one is one of the more serious ones. This one goes into a lot of details, because to understand this you need to understand what the term "Neocolonialism" is. So basically, Neocolonialism is the practice of using capitalism, globalization and cultural imperialism to influence a developing country in lieu of direct military control or indirect political control. To simplify, its countries of greater economic status, coming into poorer countries, investing in them to leech their resources and claim ownership of them, cutting those countries dry and deep into debt. The areas heavily impacted by this are countries in Africa and around India. An example of this would be the Ivory trade between Africa and East Asia, this involves rich East Asian businessman promising poor Africans wealth through the means of slaughtering African Elephants and Rhinos for the black market trade of Ivory (Elephant Tusk/Rhino Horns). This in turn critically depletes the population of African Elephants/Rhinos to the point of near extinction, resulting in East Asian profits soaring as an African treasure goes to waste.

Thats one example, another one more relevant to this situation would be China's investment into Kenya. China has poured millions of dollars in "foreign investment" into Kenya funding the building of a railway that links Nairobi to the coast. Many Chinese workers would immigrate to Kenya to do business there as a result. Thats where I introduce this garbage person, Liu Jiaqi to the Golden Snitches Hall of Fame.

Lets get into a bit of the background. Liu Jiaqi is a Chinese immigrant, whom along with many others, immigrated to Kenya to do business there. He has been working in Kenya for almost 8 months since mid-2017. Kenyan's refer to him as "Judge", he is a motorcycle trader at the Ruiru based motor cycling company, Sonlink (K) Limited. The company has 8 Chinese and 12 Kenyan employees, all 8 Chinese employees are the overseers of the company.

Here is what took place before the incident:
The incident happened after a business trip to Machakos, Kenya went wrong. "We went for a business trip, looking after our customers. Our official vehicle was busy so that is why we used an Uber." The team had visited Matuu and Machakos soliciting new business for their motorcycles assembled in Ruiru. But the Uber driver had under estimated the work ahead after they ended up spending five days on the road. He would complain that he had under quoted since he was not told the full details of their trip. After the standoff persisted, the Uber driver decided to report the matter to a police station in Machakos. He was demanding for Sh12,000 (Kenyan currency) more for the job done but after negotiating at the police station, they agreed that their Chinese host pays an extra Sh6000 instead. After he was paid the Uber driver drove off and left them stranded at the police station and they had to look for other means back to Nairobi. It is after they left the police station that their Chinese master became hostile. He was livid and hostile. He started hurling insults all the way to their offices in Ruiru and accusing his Kenyan employee of doing nothing to help him. "The Chinese was not happy. He was angry that the Kenyan on the trip was not helpful. When he arrived in the office he reported the matter to other Chinese managers here and asked that the Kenyan is fined," the employee narrated.

This next part is the incident, the words in this will make you pretty angry. Pretty much, Liu Jiaqi got into a discussion with the man he threatened to fire. This discussion was filmed per his knowledge and is fueled with extremely racist rhetoric and thoughts pertaining to Kenyans. The video reflects racist attitudes held by some Chinese towards black people, as well as the precariousness of China's growing economic presence throughout the African continent.

In this rant, Jiaqi can be heard making racist comments about Kenya, its president and its people, calling them "monkeys", complaining that he "doesn't like it here" and saying the country "smells bad and its people are poor, foolish and black." When the coworker asks why he remains in Kenya if he dislikes it so much, Jiaqi responds "to make money."

Employee: You can report him (Uber Driver) to the police or if he was unfair to you. Why are you diverting your anger on me?
Chinese man: Really? Because you are Kenyan…
Employee: So you are punishing me because I am Kenyan?
Chinese man: Everyone, every Kenyan is like a monkey, even Uhuru Kenyatta all of them are monkeys…
Employee: The President of this country?
Chinese man: Yes, sure you can go to court… who has the evidence… so this is why I have to give a letter to you to resign
Employee: Judge, I think you should go back to China…
Chinese man: Really? And why do you have to stay here?
Employee: You see, even if you fire me….
Chinese man: I will fire you when I go back to China
Employee: No problem, I will not work here forever, but whatever you are doing is extremely wrong
Chinese man: I don’t care, I don’t like you, like monkey people you smell bad, and poor, foolish and black… white not the bright people, like Americans?
Employee: Why are you coming to do business in Kenya if we are black and poor, why is it that you need our money?
Chinese man: Money is important
Employee: Money is important? Why don’t you go and look for money from the fellow whites why are you coming to Africa, specifically Kenya? We are dark and poor, why are you coming for our money? If we are poor why don’t you give us the bikes for free.

After that, the video has since went global and has gone viral. Getting picked up by major news outlets. Kenyan's took to social media in an outrage. Kenya's Immigration Department shared a brief statement earlier today, regarding Jiaqi's status. "Chinese National by the Name Liu Jiaqi who was captured on video yesterday using abusive words has been arrested," the department shared on Twitter. His work permit has been canceled and will be deported on racism grounds." The Chinese Embassy quotes, " This individual's views does not represent that of all Chinese, this individual has been banned from leaving China anywhere as a result."
