Snitch Biography:

Tekashi69 or 6ix9ine (real name Daniel Hernandez) has been at the forefront of hip-hop news and politics as of late. His rise and fall have been almost equally as fast, and the speculation and rumors surrounding him are numerous.

We will attempt to break down the facts, without making any false claims, and determine the truth about this candy colored New York rapper that everybody is talking about right now. Let this serve as a brief but comprehensive detailed account of the most pertinent points and details in the argument about whether he is a snitch or not.

CAREER

Tekashi69 rose to mainstream fame in late 2017 with the release of his debut single "Gummo", which went platinum in the US. In 2018 his mixtape Day69 came out #4 on the Billboard 200 album chart. All 10 of his singles so far have been on the Billboard Hot 100 including "Fefe", featuring Nicki Minaj. His debut studio album, Dummy Boy, was released on November 27, 2018, after being delayed a week due to his arrest.

Before his arrest, he was estimated to be worth roughly US$3 million dollars. During his bail hearing for his latest charges of racketeering, his lawyer stated he had around US$1 million (the amount reported or offered has varied) in his bank account to post for bail. There have been claims he owes money for security and promoters have come out against him as well, but it is also well-known that he may have had money embezzled from him from his former business partners, and is currently (as of this post) the #2 album on Billboard for his opening release of the Dummy Boy album, #1 on Amazon, and 4 out of the top 5 tracks on iTunes were his.

Tekashi was well known for representing a New York sect of the Bloods gang known as the Trey Nine Gangsters. There has been some debate and speculation about his real affiliation with the gang, but regardless he has clearly identified himself as a member throughout the past.

PERSONAL DRAMA

6ix9ine is well known for his public feuds, especially with other gangster rappers. The first notable of which in 2017 was rapper Trippie Redd, whom which 69 collaborated with previously. Once Redd became aware of the charges relating to an underage girl, he called 69 a pedophile and this started their beef officially. 6ix9ine responded by calling Redd a pedophile too (video proof below in the snitch debate section) because of his relationship with Danielle "Bhad Bhabie" Bregoli. Redd was later attacked in a hotel, and blamed 69 for it. 69 was then attacked and blamed Redd for it. 69 also began seeing Redd's former girlfriend. The feud apparently continued on even past his arrest in 2018 where after news of 69's arrest, Trippie Redd released an Instagram post of himself smiling and dancing to Akon's "Locked Up" song.

Tekashi also had beef with a number of Chicago rappers including Chief Keef, Tadoe (cousin of Chief Keef) and Lil Reese of Glory Boyz Entertainment. The beef apparently stemmed from a relationship with Cuban Doll, who was both involved with Tadoe and 69. There was some back and forth but 69 instigated drama by making Instagram posts with Cuban Doll as well as shopping with the mother of one of Chief Keef's sons. Trippie Redd did a collaboration with Keef and Tadoe dissing both Cuban Doll and 69. In June of 2018, Chief Keef was shot at, and many suspected 69 as the person behind the shooting. It was confirmed later that the NYPD were investigating 69 for the incident due to his ongoing beef and video surfaced later where Tekashi essentially states he's putting $30k on Tadoe's head, and whether or not this was a joke or something else for rep, there was a shooting that occurred just days after on Chief Keef (Tadoe is said to have been closeby) making it appear to be legit and damaging regarding his charges (see below).

Other minor squabbles and falling outs occurred as well including with rapper Ludacris, YG, Slim 400, Casanova and others.

In July of 2018 Tekashi was kidnapped, beaten and robbed at gunpoint in Brooklyn, New York. The robbers took over $750,000 in jewelry and about $35,000 cash. He escaped from their vehicle and had someone call police for help. He was hospitalized. He is also said to have made statements regarding this, and Anthony Jamel Ellison, someone from his former management crew and 9 Trey Bloods gang affiliate, was arrested for the crime. Another person is still wanted.

In November of 2018 Tekashi severed ties with his former management team claiming they had stolen money ($2.2 million has been reported). Two of these people, Kifano "Shotti" Jordan and Jamel "Mel Murda" Jones have been accused of planning to attack 69. In a wiretap transcript released by the FBI, the two men talk about Tekashi and their wish to "super violate" him. There a various understandings to this word, but the police are suggesting they intended to shoot and/or kill him.

In November of 2018, surveillance footage showed two men opening fire at the set of his video shoot with Kanye West and Nicki Minaj's in California.

LEGAL PROBLEMS

Prior to 2015, 69 served jail time as a minor for assault and the sale of heroin.

In 2015 Tekashi69 plead guilty to using an underage girl in a sexual performance, she was 13. The video was uploaded online as part of a music video. Claims that he is a pedophile and a rapist were quickly made. There are some issues with these claims. The girl was a teenager and not a child (pedophiles are attracted to children before puberty), 69 claims he did not know she was underage as she did not look 13 and he also claimed he was 17 at the time of the recording (although records seem to state he was in fact 18 already), and he also did not have sex with her despite some sexual behavior depicted in the video (although another man with him, Taquan Anderson, did engage in sexual activity with her).

In May of 2018, he was pulled over with suspended license while parking illegally in a neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant in Brooklyn and was taken to the police station for a ticketing procedure, and allegedly injured an officer's hand trying to detain him for an outstanding Houston, Texas warrant (below). This resulted in felony police officer assault charge. He was released on a $25k bail.

In July of 2018, he was arrested in New York for an outstanding warrant related to allegedly choking a 16-year-old in Houston's Galleria mall in January of 2018.

In November of 2018, Tekashi69 and his former manager Kifano "Shotti" Jordan, as well as three other associates (Faheem "Crippy" Walker, Jensel "Ish" Butler and Jamel "Mel Murda" Jones) were all hit with the same charges for a string of violent incidents and were arrested on federal RICO charges relating to their alleged gang activity. The charge list against 69 includes six counts of racketeering conspiracy in an effort to promote the Nine Trey’s gang status and territory in various areas of New York, firearms charges, conspiracy to murder as well as armed robberies, and accusations of involvement in the drug trafficking business. The offenses carry with them a maximum term of life in prison. The judge has denied bail and 69 is in custody on the grounds that he may still be a danger to the community. A trial has been set for September of 2019, and statements from his lawyer suggest he is fighting the charges and hopes to be found not guilty.

SNITCH OR NOT? THE DEBATE (PRIOR TO HIS PLEA DEAL)

So is Tekashi69 a snitch? I am going to say yes (even before his plea deal with the feds was known). For a number of reasons with supporting evidence, although I will admit the determinations regarding the latest gang charges are inconclusive. Some details make him seem solid, but there is proof that's he's not 100 at the very least, and people who seem solid have also been known to turn and snitch when it gets real. He told about Trippie Redd and his relationship with Bhad Bhabie. He snitched himself out while saying on camera he has 30k on Tadoe, threats that lined up with an attempted shooting against him and Chief Keef in NYC. He has been known to make statements to police and cooperate, like when he was kidnapped and robbed in New York. While it may not be clear if he's snitching in the gang related case, there's a couple reasons why he might appear to be solid. The feds apparently already have a snitch in the gang, so they might have what they need in terms of prosecuting the rest of them including 69. Tekashi might also think he can do a little bit of jail time and maintain his rap career and his rep, and possibly beat the charges or plea them down/get a light sentence (feds might have or will even offer him a deal, but he could also plan to beat the cases).

All the speculation about his transfer of jails is just noise and cannot answer the questions about if he snitched. TMZ reported the new federal facility is one known for housing witnesses that cooperate with the feds, but they are known for stirring up controversy for their numbers and publicity. Tekashi had originally landed in the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center before this location, and that in itself is rare for a celebrity and more than anything else suggests he was trying to keep it real. Obviously this is very difficult in jail, especially in NYC and him being famous and wealthy as well as a self-proclaimed thug/gangster. Allegedly he was "g-checked" or "gangster checked" by some Crip gang members there and was then transferred by the facility. His lawyer stated he was not scared, and that he did not make a request to be moved, and this would make sense because he could have already have been put in PC or requested a transfer. In the new facility, he has been reported to be away from the general population, and mostly to avoid other gang members. This does not signify snitching in any way, and if he was a full-blown rat and informant for the feds he would likely be out on bail. There is no real evidence to suggest he is a snitch in the RICO case. Additionally, people mention his sentence and/or re-sentence for his underage child sex video charges. This charge was old (even before his real fame) when he was dealing with it, it was his first as an adult, and he was less complicit then most have stated. He plead guilty and reached a deal and this carried over into the future despite his new charges. He had money while dealing with the charges, and the initial judge was lenient, to say that he is snitching because he didn't go to jail for this is really just stupid. His sentence still relates to the original sentence, and just because he is arrested for new charges (not yet convicted), it doesn't mean it suddenly changes all of this. Sure he breached one of his probation terms, but this is a relatively minor offense and facing time served because he is already in jail would be a normal occurrence.

There will undoubtedly be more to come regarding this situation, but so far these are the main facts and all we can really determine is that he has relationship snitched, dry snitched on himself, and is facing life for his dealing with gangsters that he has now turned his back on.

Evidence 1: 6ix9ine relationship snitching on Trippie Redd for allegedly having sex with Danielle "Bhad Bhabie" Bregoli. He has both live streamed about this himself and the video from DJ Akademiks (who's starting to look more like a snitch himself too) is attached to this post for evidence.
Evidence 2: 69 self-snitching while beefing Tadoe on video and saying he has "a 30 pack on him right now". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=weg3w1PfPJE

Questionable evidence 1: 6ix9ine being moved to a new jail known to house witnesses cooperating with the feds. He was held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn at first in general population before being moved to another facility, his lawyer stated this was "due to security reasons." See above explanation.
Questionable evidence 2: 69 getting a light sentence, and re-sentence on his use of an underage girl sexually in a video. Also see above.

2019 UPDATE:

Tekashi 69 has plead guilty to all nine charges he was facing and make an arrangement with prosecutors to testify against the other members of his gang. We called him snitch long before, but it is now certified that he is an informant rat. Despite paying for a hit, federal prosecutors are reportedly offering witness protection and no additional jail time since 6ix9ine agreed to testify against his former blood gang. So much for King of New York, more like king rat. His sentencing is scheduled for January 2020.
