Snitch Biography:

BOY!, I want to go all in and roast the hell out of this guy. This old fart. Yes, I'm inducting this man, Robert Sylvester Kelly otherwise known as R. Kelly, to the Golden Snitches Hall of Fame. He deserves a place here among-st the hundreds of f**k ups Golden Snitches has ever produced. R. Kelly is a name that has popped up in the news currently, early 2019, over a very controversial docu-series which aired on the "Showtime Network", called "#SurvivingKelly". This docu-series is a personal account of several women's relationships with Kelly in the past. This docu-series throws Kelly to the wolves, by showcasing credible evidence that he is a child predator.

Before I elaborate, the question is why is he a snitch? Well to answer that I want to delve a little into his early life. However, I won't speak about his successful music career because it is pointless, and a waste of time.

Robert Sylvester Kelly, born January 8, 1967, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and former professional basketball player. A native of Chicago, Kelly began performing during the late 1980s and debuted in 1992 with the group Public Announcement. In 1993, Kelly went solo with the album,"12 Play". He is known for a collection of major hit singles including "Bump N' Grind", "Your Body's Callin'", "I Believe I Can Fly", "Gotham City", "Ignition (Remix)", "If I Could Turn Back the Hands of Time", "The World's Greatest", "I'm a Flirt (Remix)", and the hip-hopera "Trapped in the Closet". In 1998, Kelly won three Grammy Awards for "I Believe I Can Fly". His distinctive sound and style has influenced numerous hip hop and contemporary R&B artists. Kelly became the first musician to play professional basketball, when he was signed in 1997.

Kelly was born at Chicago Lying-in Hospital in Hyde Park, Chicago. Kelly is the third of four children. Kelly's single mother, Joanne, was a singer. She raised her children Baptist. Kelly's father was absent throughout his son's life. Kelly's family lived in the Ida B. Wells Homes public housing project in Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood. Kelly's high school music teacher Lena McLin described Kelly's childhood home: "It was bare. One table, two chairs. There was no father there, I knew that, and they had very little." Kelly grew up in a house full of women, whom he said would act differently when his mother and grandparents were not home. At a young age Kelly was often sexually abused by a woman who was at least ten years older than himself. This woman was later identified as his older sister, who at times would tell Robert and his little brother to lick her vagina when they were as young as 6. At age 11, he was shot in the shoulder while riding his bike home; the bullet is reportedly still lodged in his shoulder.

Kelly was eight years old when he had his first girlfriend, a girl named Lulu. They would hold hands and eat make-believe meals inside their playhouse built from cardboard, where they "vowed to be boyfriend and girlfriend forever." Kelly wrote in his autobiography that their last play date turned tragic when, after fighting with some older children over a play area by a creek, Lulu was pushed into the water. A fast-moving current swept her away while she screamed Kelly's name. Shortly after, she was found dead downstream. Kelly calls Lulu his very first musical inspiration and many consider this incident to be his trigger to later becoming a child sexual predator.

Afterwards, his music career begun taking off.

With that out of the way lets focus on this docu-series. Surviving R. Kelly is a six-part Lifetime documentary detailing sexual abuse allegations against R&B artist R. Kelly. It aired over three nights, from January 3 to January 5, 2019. Filmmaker and music critic, Dream Hampton, served as executive producer and musicians, Chance the Rapper, John Legend and Stephanie “Sparkle” Edwards appeared in the documentary. Its premiere episode on January 3, 2019, was Lifetime's highest-rated program in more than two years, with 1.9 million total viewers.

The earliest point of his child predator allegations dates to 1992, when R. Kelly had met Aaliyah. Kelly was introduced to Aaliyah Haughton when she was 12 years old. They met through her uncle, Barry Hankerson, who was a veteran in the music industry. Kelly said the first thing that caught his eye was Aaliyah’s talent. Saw her dance. She wasn’t the greatest dancer, but the dance moves she was doing were different than the other dancers that I’ve seen on television. And I said, "This girl’s gonna be a star, whether I work with her or not." A romance quickly developed between the singers. As their romance blossomed, Kelly also took Aaliyah under his wing artistically, shaping her image and writing original music for her. They began recording the album "Age Ain’t Nothing But a Number" at the Chicago Recording Company in Illinois in 1993.

They were married in August 1994, official marriage licence is in the evidence folder. They were married by the Rev. Nathan J. Edmond of Chicago, according to the marriage certificate they filed with the Cook County Clerk. Kelly was 28 at the time, and Aaliyah was 15. In order to marry, however, Aaliyah lied about her age, signing the marriage certificate as an 18 year old. Kelly and Aaliyah tried to keep their marriage a secret, but word soon got out. The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Aaliyah’s family was outraged when they learned the news, and demanded she get an annulment right away. Their marriage, and their subsequent working relationship, came to a close in 1995.

In 2011, an excerpt from the book The Man Behind the Man: Looking from the "Inside Out" leaked online. Written by a former member of Kelly’s entourage, Demetrius Smith, Sr., the book claimed that the singer had gotten Aaliyah pregnant when she was 15:

"I think she’s pregnant’ he said, in a voice that sounded as if he wanted to burst out in tears. ‘Oh man, Rob’ was all I could say at the time. Derrel McDavid arranged for a car to pick Aaliyah up at O’Hare airport and she had a hotel room available on arrival. This was crazy! How were we going to get through this without causing ill feelings with Barry Hankerson. Smith said that he asked Kelly “How you gone marry Aaliyah Rob? I wanted him to relinquish his idea on how that was going to happen.”

THATS DISGUSTING, HE TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A YOUNG TEEN, MARRIED HER AT A YOUNG AGE AND EVEN BOLDLY RELEASED AN ALBUM ENTITLED "AGE AINT NOTHING BUT A NUMBER", SCAPEGOATING THE FACT HE ESSENTIALLY SNITCHED ON HIMSELF FOR HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH AN UNDERAGE AALIYAH.

However, this is not as bad as the next reason why he is a snitch and a detriment to his own career. In the years 2000, R. Kelly was allegedly involved in a sex tape scandal. This scandal was significant however, because it feature women as young as 12. In Parts 3 and 4 of Lifetime’s "Surviving R. Kelly" , a woman identified as Lisa Van Allen opened up about her alleged involvement in R. Kelly’s 2000 sex tape scandal and she revealed that her then-boyfriend had plotted to kill her because of her alleged involvement.

Lisa claims she started dating R. Kelly when she was 17 years old and he was in his late 20’s or early 30’s. She explained that she would engage in threesomes with another teenage girl and R. Kelly and that he would record their sexual encounters on videotape. At sometime around the time of the filming for R. Kelly’s “I Wish” music video in 2000, Lisa noticed that R. Kelly had a bunch of tapes in his bag, and she started to watch them back and saw that it contained footage of R. Kelly allegedly having sex with multiple young girls.“I came across the (tape) one with me, him and the 14-year-old,” Lisa said, describing the graphic sex acts involving urination that were featured on the tape. “When I saw it, it upset me, and I didn’t want him to have possession of the tape anymore, because I was in it. So I took it, and I kept it on me, and when I got a chance to go back to my hotel room, I left it at my hotel room. And he never noticed it was gone.” Lisa said she asked one of R. Kelly’s artists to hold the tape for her. But a couple of years later, when local newspaper Chicago Sun-Times Opens a New Window. started reporting about R. Kelly’s alleged lawsuits involving underage girls, Lisa was afraid that their tape would get out. So she told R. Kelly what she had done and he arranged for the person to be paid in order to get the tapes back in his possession, and they found out that the person had made copies of the tape. “He ended up giving a little payment for the (original) and said that when he brought the rest back, he’d get the rest of the money. Rob said (the payment would be) $250,000,” Lisa said, then started to cry. “I just didn’t know that there was a point in time when they were talking about killing me.”

What she didn't know was that that tape was released to the public, and it was making it's rounds on an already developing internet during the time. The sex-tape featured sex between Lisa Van Allen who was 17 and R.Kelly who was near 30. Following by what appears to be a 14 year old girl and Kelly. In the tape Kelly is seen having sex with the girl and later urinating on her.

Afterwards he was charged in 2002 on 21 counts of child sex charges, and due to the inability to identify Kelly to the man in the video, Kelly was ultimately acquitted of all charges in 2008.

THIS WAS THE BEGINNING OF HIS FALL AND THE REASON HE IS A SNITCH. IF YOU ARE HAVING SEX WITH AN UNDERAGED PERSONS, WHY WOULD YOU RECORD YOURSELF DOING THE ACT THAN GET UPSET WHEN YOURE HEADLINED AS A CHILD PREDATOR WHEN YOUR EVIDENCE MAKES THE ROUNDS. KELLY DID THIS TO HIMSELF.

Following this, when asked about these charges point blank, Kelly told The Huffington Post “You hear a few rumors here and there, but as far as from me to you, I’d say ‘f**k that.’ If they hate me, love me, they want to destroy me, I love them all.” Watch the full interview below:

In 2016, Kelly was the subject of a revelatory piece on Buzzfeed. The piece claimed that he’s been running an abusive “cult” of young women in Georgia and Illinois. Former members of Kelly’s entourage confirmed that he dictates “What they eat, how they dress, when they bathe, when they sleep, and how they engage in sexual encounters that he records.”

Finally after all that, this documentary puts the nail in the coffin regarding his sexual and domestic abuse. Do I believe he is a child sex predator, absolutely without a doubt. There's evidence to back it up, evidence that he himself created. Good riddance to his career. I grew up in the late 2000s, so I don't really know much about R. Kelly when I've been listening to guys like Usher and Ne-Yo. Regardless, I feel for his victims.
